The Lay of the Lonesome Lung – 101229593_p07

An illustrated poem depicts a man with a bicycle talking with a man in a heavy coat surrounded by icicles in silhouette.

O’er Russia’s icy waste
He took his way upon a bicycle,
And saw, affixed with paste,
A placard strange to every icicle.
“Translate this legend, please.” A Russian merry
Replied, “Try Wistar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry.”
