Dear Dr. Ryder:
If you conclude to take up the education and treatment of mentally deficient children and young people, you have my assurance that you are not only fitted to do this, but in every way more than usually competent. Generally these schools are too large and extravagantly costly, putting them beyond the means of persons who are unfortunate enough to be in moderate circumstances and yet have to take care of a child mentally crippled.
Yours very truly,
