The President has passed a very good night, awakening at longer intervals than during several nights past. He continues to take liquid food by the mouth with more relish and in such quantity that the enemata will be suspended for the present. No change has yet been observed in the parotid swelling; the other symptoms are quite as favorable as yesterday.
Pulse, 100; temperature, 98.5°; respiration, 17.
