8.30 A. M.
The President has passed a quiet night, and this morning his condition does not differ materially from what it was yesterday at the same hour.  The swelling of the parotid gland is unchanged and is free from pain.  This morning his pulse is 98; temperature, 98.4°; respiration, 18.
