EXECUTIVE MANSION,
July 24, 1881.

7.00 P. M.
The President has been much relieved by the operation of this morning, and the pus has been discharging satisfactory through the new opening.  At noon to-day his pulse was 118; temperature, 99.8°; respiration, 24.  At present his pulse is 104; temperature, 99.2°; respiration, 23.
